Getting to the Waterside Campus is simple, whether you are arriving by car, rail, or on foot. Located just a stone’s throw from the town centre, the campus is perfectly positioned on the banks of the River Nene for easy access from all major routes.
By Car
The University is well-connected to the national road network, making it an easy commute for those coming from outside the town.

From the M1: Exit at Junction 15 and follow the A45 Northbound towards Northampton. Take the exit for the A428 (Bedford Road) and follow the signs for the University.

From the A14: Take the A43 Southbound and follow signs for the town centre, picking up the signs for the Waterside Campus as you approach the Bedford Road area.

Parking: For Your Business Expo, dedicated parking is available. Visitors typically use the Midsummer Meadow Car Park (NN1 5NX), which is just a short, scenic walk across the footbridge directly into the heart of the campus. Exhibitors will receive specific instructions regarding on-site loading and unloading.

By Train: Northampton Railway Station is approximately 1.5 miles from the campus. It is a 5-minute taxi ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk through the town centre. The station is served by regular West Midlands Trains and Avanti West Coast services from London Euston and Birmingham New Street.

By Bus: The campus is a major stop for the 'Uno' bus service (routes 18, 19, and 21), which connects the campus to the town centre, the railway station, and the surrounding residential areas every few minutes.
